An alternative to BT Openreach? Box Broadband for rural communities

The village of Ewhurst is just 4 stone throws from GU8 and have been on a long journey to Superfast to their residents. It has been a long journey with false hope, and political obstacles – but now they have found an interesting solution that may well be a template for other communities to escape the monopoly of Openreach.   David Nye is the key project leader at the Ewhurst Broadband Community Campaign. They have recently been talking with Box Broadband – a third party alternative to Openreach.

You’ll see the background on David’s excellent site.

I would suggest you have a look at the details as it does offer viable alternatives with significant advantages over Openreach for some localities.  David will be happy to field questions you have as he is keen on Box as a solution for his village.
